Why we put it in writing

Recitals

Whereasyou have an idea worth building;

Whereastoo many agency quotes turn out to be guesses;

Whereasfounders still pay for months of work they can't launch;

Now, therefore,we put it in writing.

§§ 1–5 · The Vow

Five promises.
In every contract.

Not a slogan. These are clauses in the agreement you sign with us, which means you can hold us to them.

  1. § 1

    Your price is fixed.

    The price we sign is the price you pay. Scope only changes through a written change request you approve, priced before work starts.

  2. § 2

    You pay as we deliver.

    Start with the Blueprint, from $390 and credited to your build. Then pay each milestone only after you've seen it working and approved it.

  3. § 3

    You own everything. Day one.

    Your code lives in your own GitHub from the first commit. Designs, code and accounts are all yours. No lock-in.

  4. § 4

    Late? You pay less.

    For every full week a milestone is late, 10% comes off that milestone's price, up to 50%.† See the fine print

  5. § 5

    Bugs fixed free for 90 days.

    If something we built doesn't work as agreed within 90 days of launch, we fix it at no charge.

A typical MVP

US agency1$60,000–150,000
VowDevfrom $6,900

Why we cost less: US agencies bill $120–200 an hour partly to pay for sales teams, account managers and downtown offices. We don't have any of those. You work directly with the engineers, and we're fully remote. The Vow is how you know we haven't cut corners.

AI builders get you to a demo fast. Then come logins, payments, data and security. We review your app, redline it and make it production-ready, at a fixed price.

  • Login and permissions that hold up
  • Payments that reconcile
  • A real database, backups and tests
  • Speed and hosting costs under control

§ 10 · Interpretation

Questions, answered in writing.

Q.01Is $20 an hour real? What's the catch?

It's real: $20/hr for websites and maintenance, up to $32/hr for AI work. There's no catch, because there's no sales team, no account managers and no office to pay for. You work directly with the engineers, and the Vow puts the price, dates and guarantees in your contract.

Q.02Who owns the code?

You do, from the first commit. We work in a GitHub repository in your account, so the code is yours the whole time, not handed over at the end. Designs and accounts are set up in your name too. If we part ways, you keep everything.

Q.03What happens if you're late?

Each milestone has a date written into your Vow. For every full week a milestone is late, 10% comes off that milestone's price, up to 50%. The clock pauses only for delays on your side of more than 2 business days, approved scope changes and app-store review times.

Q.04What is the Blueprint, and why is it paid?

The Blueprint is a 1–2 week planning phase: we turn your idea into specs, clickable designs and a fixed quote with milestone dates. It starts at $390, the full fee is credited to your build if you go ahead, and you keep everything in it either way. It's what makes a fixed price possible.

Q.05Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. Ask in your first message and we'll sign one before you share details. Everything we build for you belongs to you under our standard terms as well.

Q.06I started in Lovable, Bolt or Cursor. Can you take over?

Yes. We review your code, then send a fixed-price plan to make it production-ready: login and permissions, payments, database, backups, tests and hosting. Fixes start at $990. The 10-question rescue check shows where you stand first.

Q.07How do payments work?

You pay for the Blueprint up front. After that, the project is split into milestones, and you pay for each one only after you've seen it working and approved it. Hourly work, like maintenance, is billed in prepaid blocks of hours.

Q.08I'm not technical at all. Is that a problem?

That's who we built VowDev for. The Blueprint turns your idea into plain-English specs and clickable screens before any code is written, our glossary explains the technical terms you'll hear in plain English, and weekly demos show you real progress instead of status reports.
