Why we put it in writing.

Why the name?

A vow is a promise you can be held to. Promises made on a sales call are easy to forget; promises in a contract aren’t. So we put ours in the contract: a fixed price, payment only for milestones you’ve approved, code you own from day one, money off when we’re late, and 90 days of free bug fixes.

How do we work?

The Vow’s five promises are clauses in every contract, and every change to scope, price or dates is agreed in writing before work starts.

Direct

You talk to the engineers who build your product. There are no sales or account managers in between, and we’re fully remote, so there’s no downtown office to pay for either.

Fair

Rates from $20 an hour, published up front. The Blueprint fee is credited to your build, and there are no surprise invoices.

What do we believe?

1. A price is a promise. If we can’t stand behind a number, we don’t quote it.
2. You should own what you pay for. Code, designs and accounts are yours from the first day, not handed over at the end.
3. Working software beats status reports. Every week you can click through what we’ve built so far.
4. Plain English is part of the job. Our glossary explains the technical terms you'll hear in plain English, and we explain decisions the same way.
5. Trust is earned, not claimed. We’d rather show you our terms, our prices and our process than ask you to believe a testimonial.

What won’t we do?

• Publish fake reviews, testimonials or client logos.
• Add hidden fees or send surprise invoices.
• Hold your code, designs or accounts hostage.
• Pad estimates or bill for hours we didn’t work.
• Pretend to be something we’re not.

We’re new, and we say so.

VowDev was founded in 2026. We don’t have years of reviews yet, so our first 10 clients get 15% off in exchange for letting us publish their story, and everything we promise is written into the contract.
