The Vow, applied

  1. §1 Your price is fixed. The design price is fixed by the number of screens, before work starts.
  2. §2 You pay as we deliver. You pay for each milestone after you've reviewed the screens.
  3. §3 You own everything. Day one.Every design file is created in, or transferred to, your account.
  4. §4 Late? You pay less. Each milestone has a date; every full week late takes 10% off that milestone, up to 50%.
  5. §5 Bugs fixed free for 90 days.If a delivered screen doesn't match what we agreed, we correct it free within 90 days.

How a design project runs

  1. Understand. A short kickoff about your users, your goals and what success looks like.
  2. Flows and wireframes. The path through your product, screen by screen, in simple grey boxes.
  3. Visual design. Your colors, type and components, applied to every key screen.
  4. Prototype and test. A clickable prototype you can put in front of real users.
  5. Handover. Design files in your account and notes for whoever builds it.

Why design before you build

Changing a screen in a design tool takes minutes. Changing it after it's built takes days. A clickable prototype lets you find the confusing parts with a handful of real users before a developer writes any code, when fixing them costs the least.

Questions about UI/UX design

How much does UI/UX design cost?

It's priced by the number of screens. Up to 10 screens usually takes 40–60 hours and 10 to 25 screens 60–110 hours, at $25 an hour, starting from $990.

What is a clickable prototype?

A realistic, tappable version of your app made in a design tool. It looks and moves like the real thing, so you can test it with users and show investors before any code exists.

Can you redesign an existing product?

Yes. We start by reviewing where users get stuck, then redesign the screens that matter most first.

Do I own the designs?

Yes. Design files are created in, or transferred to, your account, like everything else under the Vow.
