VowDev

§ 7 · Procedure

From napkin to product, in five signed steps.

What happens at each step, what we need from you, what you get and what it costs.

The five steps

  1. Napkin Free · 30 min

Tell us the idea on a free call. Bring a sketch, a voice note or a Lovable prototype.

    What happens
A 30-minute video call. You tell us the idea; we ask who it's for, what it must do first and when you need it, and tell you honestly whether we're the right team for it.
    What you provide
The idea in any form: a sketch, a voice note, a slide deck or a Lovable prototype. An NDA first, if you'd like one.
    What you get
Straight answers, a rough price range and a clear next step. No obligation.
  2. Blueprint From $390 · credited

1–2 weeks of specs, clickable designs and a fixed quote, feature by feature.

    What happens
We turn the idea into written specs, user flows and clickable designs, then price every feature and set the milestone dates.
    What you provide
A kickoff call, answers to our questions and feedback on the designs.
    What you get
Specs, clickable designs, a fixed quote and milestone dates. You keep all of it even if you don't build with us, and the fee is credited to your build if you do.
  3. The Vow 1 day

Price, milestone dates and the five promises, signed in one document.

    What happens
We put the price, each milestone's date and amount, and the five promises into one document. You read it, ask anything, and sign when you're happy.
    What you provide
A careful read and your signature.
    What you get
A contract you can hold us to, clause by clause.
  4. Build Weekly demos

A working demo every week. You pay each milestone after you approve it.

    What happens
We build in milestones, in a GitHub repository in your account. Every week you get a working demo you can click through yourself, not a status report.
    What you provide
Feedback on each demo, the content and access we ask for, and approval of each finished milestone.
    What you get
Visible progress every week. You pay for each milestone only after you've seen it working and approved it.
  5. Launch 90-day warranty

We launch, hand over every account and fix bugs free for 90 days.

    What happens
We deploy to accounts in your name, run the launch checklist with you and hand over everything.
    What you provide
Final approval, plus access to your domain or app-store accounts.
    What you get
The code, every account and the documentation, plus 90 days of free bug fixes.

What does a weekly demo look like?

Once a week we show you what's new, on a link you can open yourself: on a short call during our live hours (9am–1pm US Eastern) or as a recorded walkthrough if that suits you better. Each demo ends with what we'll build next and anything we need from you.

How do we stay in touch?

  • You talk directly to the engineers building your product. There's no account manager in between.
  • We reply within 4 business hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm US Eastern).
  • We're available for calls 9am–1pm US Eastern, Monday to Friday. In Central Europe, that's 3pm–7pm.
  • Use whatever suits you: email or a call.

What do you get at handover?

  • The code, in a GitHub repository you own (it has been there since the first commit)
  • Hosting, domain and database accounts in your name
  • App Store and Google Play accounts in your name, for mobile apps
  • Design files in your own account
  • A README that explains how to run, test and deploy the product
  • A list of every third-party service the product uses, with its monthly cost
  • Every password and API key, handed over securely
  • 90 days of free bug fixes, starting at launch

Questions about the process

How soon can we start?

We confirm a start date on the first call. The Blueprint begins once its fee is paid, and the build begins once you've signed the Vow, with every date written down.

What happens after launch?

Bugs in what we built are fixed free for 90 days. After that, maintenance starts at $390 a month for updates, monitoring, fixes and small features, or we hand everything to your own team.

I started in Lovable, Bolt or Cursor. Can you take over?

Yes. We review your code, then send a fixed-price plan to make it production-ready: login and permissions, payments, database, backups, tests and hosting. Fixes start at $990. The 10-question rescue check shows where you stand first.

I'm not technical at all. Is that a problem?

That's who we built VowDev for. The Blueprint turns your idea into plain-English specs and clickable screens before any code is written, our glossary explains the technical terms you'll hear in plain English, and weekly demos show you real progress instead of status reports.

How do we communicate?

You talk directly to the engineers building your product. We reply within 4 business hours, we're available for calls 9am–1pm US Eastern every weekday, and you get a working demo every week.
