What is a webhook?
Why it matters for your project
Webhooks are how payments are confirmed safely. An app that grants access only after a signed webhook arrives can't be fooled by a customer who closes the payment page early or edits the browser.
Example
A customer subscribes, Stripe sends a signed “checkout completed” webhook, and your server marks the account as paid and emails a receipt.
